My mixing music tips: 'How to' upload your music for mixing
Keep on mixing - You can't beat experience. Getting good at mixing takes times. Practice, practice, practice.
Your room acoustics - I know, boring !! But it really does matter, treat your room now !!
Digital analog converters - Buy the best converters you can afford. Apogee or lynx sound great.
Monitors/Speakers. - I highly recommend the focal CMS65 monitors. If you can't hear the difference between a mp3 and a WAV file you need to upgrade.
Mixing in the box. - Keep your faders down in the digital mix. You're not mixing on an analog desk with lots of headroom, top tip !
Mastering thoughts. - Don't think it will be fixed by the mastering engineer. What really matters is a great mix.
If you're really serious about music mixing then the top four points have to be addressed. I know some of this equipment can
be expensive. Save up and invest in your hobby/love/interest. You won't regret it !!!
